Great American Rodeo places a silhouetted rider against an oversized American flag — the brushwork raw, the gesture monumental. The cowboy myth, America’s most persistent self-image, is rendered in dripping black against the red, white and blue. GODS MGMT does not satirise; they amplify. The result is a work that feels simultaneously like a celebration and a critique, leaving the viewer to decide which.
GODS MGMT works anonymously, operating between fine art, popular culture and commercial mythology. Each canvas is a site of collision — between what we revere and what we consume, between iconography and irony.
